The Trapper Creek Ranch is situated in Shell, Wyoming – East of Yellowstone National Park and Cody. It is famous for horse-riding, horsemanship, clinics, and training. The ranch is located at the road’s end and surrounded by public lands, providing amazing views. In Wyoming it is among one of the first established guest ranches, dating to 1899.

Many famous people have visited Trapper Creek Ranch, including Owen Wister, Hemingway, and Teddy Roosevelt. Owners of this ranch own other properties such as The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch. These ranches provide working cattle guest ranches, horsemanship, and upscale riding. Also offered are non-riding activities. Many guests seek to enhance riding and horsemanship skills. For them, The Hideout provides a separate natural horsemanship clinic. As a result, a long-time partnership between The Trapper Creek Ranch partnered and 3 Star Parelli trainer Farrah Green as a host to provide their clinical services. Ms. Green is from Wyoming and has offered her services worldwide. She is an expert in the disciplines of Natural Horsemanship, Eventing, Cowboy Dressage, and Classic Dressage. No matter a one’s level of expertise, Farrah Green welcomes riders to enhance their horsemanship experience.

The Trapper Guest House and The Bunkhouse house guests. In 1926, the log cabin was built, but in the year 2015it  was enhanced by the building of a full kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a loft, internet, air conditioning, and heating.

Trapper Creek offers a clinic week: articipants work in co-ordination with Farah to work with horses in the arena and pens. This will also give an opportunity for the participants to practice and experiment with their new riding skills. Trapper Creek has a range of horses guaranteed to match rider with the best horse for their skill level and desires. Students may also elect to bring their own horses for special training.
